CNC Turning Services

CNC Turning is a process used to create cylindrical parts. This is accomplished by rotating a workpiece while a cutting tool removes material. The term "turning" is derived from the rotating motion imparted to the workpiece, which is held in place by a chuck or collet. This rotation allows the cutting tool to traverse along the length and diameter of the workpiece, shaping it into the desired form.

Considerations for CNC Turning

  • CNC Turning excels at making round or cylindrical parts

    Examples

    • Shafts

    • Bushings

    • Fasteners

    • Pins

    • Fittings

    • Spindles

    • Sleeves

    • Washers & Spacers

    • Parts manufactured on a CNC Lathe generally achieve a dimensional tolerance of +/- 0.005”

    • Tighter tolerances of up to +/- 0.0005 can be achieved but may affect the pricing of your parts.
